本年度の例会もあと５回となりました。
本日はお客様が３人いらっしゃいました。
まず第５グループ斎藤補佐がおみえになり、ＩＭのお礼、世界大会の報告をなされました。まことに補佐のお仕事は大変だとそばで見ていて思いました。
次に大坂会員のご友人の山崎様がおいでになり、即日入会決定となりました。
また、梶川会員のご友人の佐々木様がおみえになり、入会へ向けて前向きに検討されることになりました。
本日はホットパーティ形式でしたので、あとは懇談となり、モンゴルのデーブスペクターは相変わらずテンション高く場を明る過ぎにしました。
来月は１日にテンション低く会計報告を行ってください。
８日はクラブフォーラムの先立って入会候補者の岡本様に講話をお願いする予定です。１５日は裁量休会日で、２２日は活動報告会、各委員長は今月中に報告書よろしくお願いしますね。
１．新会員 入会式
阿部実保子さん(医薬治験業）と吉森静雄さん（IT産業）にロータリーバッジ装 着、ロータリー読本進呈

これで会員数は１３人となる
６月に、藤井さん（自動車販売業）と岩崎さん（派遣業）が入会予定、
１５人となって会長の公約達成
次年度末には２０人として標準のクラブにしたい。
ただ、入会金については細則では３回までの分割払い可となっているがところを ２０回までとしてほしい（推薦者保証で）。
２．６月の予定
８日の会計勉強会にはバトバヤル会員の出席が必須
２２日は活動報告会、その前に今月中に各委員長は1ページの活動報告をメールで
２９日は会長幹事慰労会と歓送迎会をかねる、２５日までにメールで
出欠を
３．記念誌（７０ページ、カラー写真）のゲラ刷りが出来上がる。
６月末までに刊行、２００部、４０万円程度
配布先（新旧会員５０名、地区各クラブ等）をリストにして、７月の例会で宛名書きをする
４．ロータリークラブについてのレクチャ（大坂会員より）
内容：当クラブ設立の趣旨、ロータリーバッジの責任と威力、メークアップ、ロータリーの仕事を頼まれたら断らないことなど
５．クラブパンフレット（大坂会員作成）：新会員勧誘に使う。例会場３階→７階に訂正
６．５月のガバナー月信、本日の会報配布
７．今後の課題：次期会長は６月中に各委員会と小委員会の委員を決める
各CLP委員会の委員長は７月中に次期活動計画書を作成

It seems too early to say this is the final blog, but should be. We have at least three English able members in our club, so I'd like to write straightforwardly in that language.
This club was chartered only 10 years ago. The number of members gathering was more than 20 at that time,but it decreased to around 10 since 5 years ago. The tendency to decrease exists all over the Japanese rotary clubs, which is not necessarily a world wide trend.
Therefore, this year Governor Kumazawa set up the promotion of welcoming new members as the initial aim.
As for our club, at the beginning of this year only 7 members left, and we made efforts to get new member. Now 15 members are supposed to be here at the end of this year. The number should be growing to 20 at the end of the next year under the President Sato.
Incidentally, we have ben holding the so-called hot party every two months, and yesterday we held one with families and friends. The people gatherd was half of the members and their wife or students. Rotary club means holding a session in member's site in turn. Furthermore rotary implicates involvement of their family. So this activity must fit to the club.
About social service activity we opened the vaccine forum including Polio and collected donation, and cooperated the recruitement of blood donation which is usually done by Lions clubs. We Japanese experience the disaster of huge earthquake one year ago, and the agony still remains in the assaulted people. We rotarians have been ready to help them. It was realaized by money donation including buying straps, and also several charity activities are being held or under planning.
In the long run, what is the rotary club? That is the question of the newly coming rotarian. Is it a social activity club? Is it a organization of donations? Is it a collection of people with volunteering spirit? Is it a group of certain ideal holding people?
None of the above may be incorrect, but to the point. We are the group in which we should do and convey the spirit to make the world peaceful and the people happy in a non-ideological way.
This is my personal but not easily deniable conclusion. It appears in the fact that Rotary International promotes polio extermination and intenational student exchange as a core activity.
The remaining members including myself in our club preferably keep their pace to go further in this way.
